ive just read got airborne, and , wow, this i,ve just got to have. i have about 20 taipans and a glochief 29 (amongst 100+ engines)as well as an original doonside mills. i don't hide anything from my wife, she usually pays for my engines (birthdays),price will be a bit of a problem with this one though.

Owning Taipans, you will know that Gordon and I are enthusiasts and that engines are, to us, more than just a product. We take great pride in knowing that those we made economically in commercial quantities are respected and used decades later.
Many other model engines however, particularly the smaller ones, were and still are made only as short term childrens' toys. Maybe you could read that as -- "with cost as the prime consideration."
You will have gathered from reading this site and the reviews that this engine is unique in that I have made it almost as I would want. It is an adults' toy.
You will find yours a delight.
