But, I like it on it's side. The controls are above and easy to hand. The exhaust is down and away. I picture a semi-scale 'plane with cheek cowling. I can see a "backyard" C/L with the tank ideally on the outside of the circle.
Actually though, Gordon's preference is for the engine at a 45 degree angle and I find this most convenient for test starting.
